American Patchwork Project

In 2023, I led an initiative celebrating the rich cultural and musical fabric of Western North Carolina by gathering, sharing, and preserving oral histories and songs of the region. Through a digital story-gathering campaign, I collected memories and music from community members. The project culminated in a final performance by a diverse array of local artists at the Wortham Center and a video compilation of additional accounts. This project was funded by SouthArts and presented in partnership with American Patchwork Quartet, a group who showcases the dynamic diversity of contemporary culture by reimagining American Roots Music. ​
